Q. When should I start toilet training my child? A. Around 2 years of age.
Q. When should I ‘night time’ toilet train my child? A. Evidence suggests night toilet training should start at the same time as day training. This sends a clear message to the child about toileting.
Q. Why not just leave them in a night time nappy?
A. Clinical evidence suggests you should remove the disposable nappy or pull-up to allow your child to feel the sensation of wetting, therefore engaging the natural bladder to brain co-ordination.
Q. Is the Conni Kids bed-pad totally waterproof? A. Yes. It will fully protect your mattress and linen.
Q. Is bed wetting in children common?
A. Bed wetting is a common childhood problem. It affects an estimated 300,000 Australian children over the age of 5.
Q. Is there PVC in the Conni Kids Bed Pad? A. No. It has a breathable polyurethane laminate (P.U.L) as the waterproof layer.
Q. Is the Conni Kids Bed Pad made from cotton? A. No. Cotton is not suitable for an absorbent bed pad as it holds wetness at the surface making the child cold and uncomfortable.
Q. Do I need to get up during the night to change the bed pad? A. This depends. Some children may wake up, others continue to sleep comfortably. If your child wakes and the bed pad feels wet you may like to replace it with another.
Q. Should my child wear pyjama pants when sleeping on a Conni Kids Bed Pad? A. During toilet training we recommend your child goes to bed in a pair of snug fitting underpants.
Q. How do I launder the Conni Kids Bed Pad?
A. Conni Kids Bed Pads are machine washable and tumble dryer safe, you can also line dry. Do not use fabric softeners, laundry detergents with added fabric softener or harsh bleach. If your bed pad becomes stained or malodorous we recommend Napisan.
Q. How long will my Conni Kids Bed Pad last? A. Under normal conditions, following the laundering instructions, a minimum of 350 washes.
Q. Which size Conni Kids Bed Pad should I buy? A. If your child is a restless sleeper or an older child we recommend the Conni Kids Max [1m x 1m with tuck-ins]. This pad will fit single and king single beds. For new-Born's or regular sleepers the Conni Kids Standard [76cm x 90cm] is suitable for all sized beds.
