A big CONGRATULATIONS also the Karen Matthews who was runner up for the second year. Karen is a tireless worker and we are extremely happy to have her benefiting from the Conni Awards again.
We would like to thank all nurses who applied in 2009. The applications were of the highest standard and the job of judging was no easy task. We encourage those who didn't succeed this year to apply again next year. We would love to recognise everyone for the work they do. Hopefully one day we will!
What Is The Conni Awards?
Conni is committed to supporting Continence Nurses and the Continence Industry Australia-wide. Glenys Drayton developed The Conni Awards in 2004 and each year continues to acknowledge the work of continence nurses.
Incontinence is a common condition and educating our continence nurses improves our understanding and management of continence issues. Conferences are a great way of gathering the best and latest information. Conni believes that all nurses should have access to this knowledge.
First prize package is airfares, accommodation and registration costs to attend the ICS in the relevant year. The ICS is a fantastic conference and offers the most up-to-date information on incontinence from arround the world.
The second winner receives a $500 contribution to attend any conference relevant to continence in the following 12 months.
The team at Conni continues to support clinicians around Australia by supplying this first prize to attend the ICS conference.
